I have the same problem with emailing. If enough time has elapsed before I’ve written to someone, I feel like that the next correspondence must be Brilliant to make up for the silence. So I put it off even longer, and it’s a vicious cycle.

I too would like to reach you regarding your NOVA experience. I am a writer living in Japan and I am doing an article for a Tokyo based magazine about what happened to the NOVA teachers. If you would be willing to tell me a bit about your process of leaving Japan and what has transpired since working for NOVA, I would love to hear your story.

Hi Adelle,

I’m currently finishing a Masters in Communication at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. The working title of my thesis is “The Demise of the Pink Bunny: Employee Sensemaking on and from the Internet During an International Organizational Crisis.” In other words, my thesis is about the way English-speaking employees processed Nova’s collapse.

I have read your blog posts concerning Nova and also have listened to the “Spotlight 5” Trans-Pacific Radio podcast. Would you would be willing to answer a few questions regarding experience with Nova?

I don’t know what to say except that I have a lot to catch up on. As you know, periods of one’s life can seen endlessly difficult. I used to hate it when people told me, “this too shall pass.” At those times, I thought this cruel as it didn’t help my situation at all. But I did learn that tough times were periods I’d have to endure as painful as it felt. At some level we have to know and keep the faith that we’ll come out the other end, perhaps a little worse for the wear, but still standing and stronger. Again, such words hardly helped me in the moment; but, in hindsight they took on a different meaningfulness. I hope things are better now or at least improving.

OMG! Adelle, I’ve lost touch with you and came here to check in. What a trip/post. My heart was aching for your as I read this…My Lord! You are a powerful writer and I really really hope that whatever you do, you also get your book written on your experiences in Japan. It deserves to be written and read. I would like to know how sen.Obama feels about the North American Union, which an agreement was signed by the prime minister of Canada, pres. Bush and the pres. of Mexico in `05 to actually open up the borders rather than controlling them as they would have the people in the USA to believe? Also, what is the Senator’s view on the new $$$(the Amero) that would take the place of the 3 indivivual countries$$$? Last, What is the Senator’s view on the issue of a new world order which brings all countries under a world goverment rule of laws(United Nations)?
